NBM DONATES BOOKS, DESKS AND CHAIRS TO SCHOOLS IN CROSS RIVER STATE.

The Neo Black Movement of Africa(NBM), yesterday, donated books worth millions of naira to three school in Cross River state. The Pan African organisation said the donation is in furtherance of its initiative to support education in Nigeria and promised to do more in taking the scheme across the country.  Speaking while making the donation to the schools, NBM spokesman, Mr Obiora Aduba  said the group is committed to ensuring quality education in the country. He said the donation is part of the celebration of the movement's 39th annual convention and 40th anniversary taking place in calabar, the capital of CROSS River state.

Speaking  Mr Effionga Effiong Edem, principal Community Secondary School, Bakasi commended the movement for the gesture and assured them that the books will be adequately used by the students.

In the same vein, Mrs Philomena Okon Iban, headmistress,Early Child Care Education (ACCE), St. Peters Primary School, Akpabuyo, one of the school that  benefited from the initiative praised the group and expressed appreciation on behalf of the pupils and school management and assured NBM that the pupils will be dedicated to their studies.

Government Technical College, Calabar said the action of NBM to the students and the school has rekindled hope in the future of the student and posited that NBM has confirmed its motto EQUALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE by the donation which has given hope to many poor students in their school.

Hundreds of chairs were also donated to Government secondary school Qua, this was also attended by one of the very first National president of the group Pa Godwin Ogbeide who is also a professional in the higher education sector. The spokesperson Mr. Jason educated the students about NBM and the need for the students to shun crime and other violent acts. The group has also promised to improve in their scholarship grants to outstanding students. The principal of the school prayed for the movement and asked that they should always see the school as a partner and prayed for members of the movement for their magnanimous act. Students were very happy and all dancing in joy.
